What causes Droopy Jowls and Flabby Chins

You may think that as we age a chin or chins just creep up on you and in some respects that’s true.

Double chins turn up due to the continued deposit of fat in the neck region. This is quite a normal mechanism of the body so your bum, tummy and thighs are not the only places where extra fat is stored, the chin too is a depository for body fat.

So sadly as we grow older and perhaps a little fatter as we approach Menopause our fat distribution changes, we have to work harder to control our weight and we get the double, flabby chins to prove it.

Add to this the ageing process of the skin and general collapse of connective tissue and gravity and all round the neck screams out “I am ageing!”
