"Get a grip" says Sarah Boseley's in the Guardian today covering new research looking at the indicators of a long life. So of great interest to all of us over 40!She reports on the initial studies that were commissioned to establish measures that could be used to identify which older people may need more help. After watching the C4 program last night I wonder how many women have changed their mind and their desire to have surgery and in particular the tummy tuck. I sat cupped hand over wide open mouth, in disbelief. For sure there are many success stories but the horrific scars left from negligence and poorly performed surgery are enough to make any normal women rethink. Those poor women who like all of us wanted improvement were left with shark bite and emotional scars. Hats off to C4 and Christian J....

£80 or £30? Whilst out shopping this week I saw a fab cardi for sale - tried it on loved it and went to the till to pay for it. Then fell over as it was £50 more than I thought …yes £80 and not £30. My eyes had let me down again and what did I do? Annoyed with my fuzzy vision and embarrassed under the glare of an expectant sales assistant I paid up and left!
