What is Sun Damaged Skin?

Also called Prematurely Aged Skin.

If you have worshipped the sun all your life without adequate protection then it will at some time show in your skin. For some the sexy glow of a beach babe in early life it is just too tempting to turn down or to worry about the consequences either in the short or long term.

These consequences can be life threatening in the form of skin cancer or just miserable as the damage to the skin can be permanent.

Without a doubt we all look better with a bit of colour and it’s proven that we feel happier too when in the sunshine. Our bodies also need elements from the sun but just how far we go determines how damaged our skin is and this in turn determines how young or old we look in later life.

If you have sun damaged skin you may have any or probably all of the following characteristics.

  • Wrinkles
  • Leathery Texture
  • Age Spots or Pigmentation Marks
  • Spider Veins
  • Lack of Radiance and Dull Skin
  • Dehydrated Skin
  • Sagging and Loose Skin (Solar elastosis)
  • Melasma
  • Poikiloderma – reddish brown pigments caused by chronic sun exposure and chemicals such as perfume.
  • Moles
  • Large Flat areas of brown patches

All of the above are covered in unique detail individually but if you have all of these then read on for some help all round!

A Sun Damaged or a Prematurely Aged skin shows furrows, crow’s feet, ravages of life, wrinkles.   It’s dull without radiance and generally needs help all round.
